Sameer Mahomed is a qualified chartered accountant and reals estate investment specialist, who trained and qualified at Deloitte, working in their Johannesburg, Los Angeles and London offices for over 9 years. Sameer specialised in various industry sectors, specifically financial & business advisory, including corporate finance. In his last 5 years at Deloitte, he was based in the Real Estate Hospitality & Leisure Group in London serving clients such as the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority RE Department, Grosvenor Estates, RREEF (Deutsche Bank real estate arm), Cushman & Wakefield, Hard Rock Café Hotels, Bawadi, Emaar and others. After leaving Deloitte, Sameer worked at the private equity firm, Hamilton Bradshaw as Investment Director where he structured and managed the real estate investment activities at HB, which included the development of HB Real Estate amongst other areas of investment.
Moving on from Hamilton Bradshaw in 2011, he set up a consultancy to service family offices, UHNI, real estate fund and REITS. Some of his clients and relationships included UK MATRIX Real Estate, Al Thani Family and wealthy families in the Middle East. In the last 5 years Sameer was involved in a number of major transactions totalling £250 million. These investments were predominantly a combination of the hospitality, UK residential and retail sector. His expertise in these transactions were concentrated on the financial and investment advisory, funding, feasibility studies and tax structuring. With an extensive network in the UK and London real estate market, and access to capital he has found a niche in connecting opportunities to capital.
As co-founder of Ten, Sameer focuses on BTR consultancy working with developers, operators and investors to assist in the execution of their projects through the provision of financial and market analysis, feasibility studies, market research and funding services.
Sameer graduated from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Durban with a BComm Honours degree majoring in Accounting, Finance and Tax & is CA (SA)/ACA.
